Experiences at Adira

Passion Project
With a focus on paying it forward, our students ideate, design, and execute a passion project that positively impacts their communities. These hyperlocal initiatives allow them to develop professionalism, explore social entrepreneurship, and contribute meaningfully to a cause they are passionate about.
Careers Program
The Careers Program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, insights, and guidance they need to make informed career choices and navigate their professional journeys with confidence. The program consists of three key components: Careers exposure sessions, distinguished speaker sessions and career guidance.
Work Study Program
Our work-study program offers students a unique opportunity to Explore the Professional World: Gain exposure to workplace culture and practices. Build Essential Skills: Develop problem-solving abilities, soft skills, and basic technical knowledge. Bridge Academics and Careers: Understand the real-world applications of their studies, making education more meaningful. Designed to run alongside 11th and 12th-grade studies, the program equips students with practical insights and confidence for future education and career pathways.
Wellbeing
At Adira Academy, we prioritize student well-being through regular advisory sessions and dedicated activities that promote Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and psychological growth. These sessions provide a supportive space for students to develop self-awareness, resilience, and emotional intelligence while fostering meaningful connections.
Social Media Internship
Students play a central role in shaping Adira’s digital voice. Through a structured, three-month internship cycle, they learn how to craft content, build narratives, and manage the school’s social media presence. This internship offers practical exposure to digital storytelling, branding, and audience engagement.
Newsletter and Yearbook Team
Students also lead the production of Adira’s quarterly newsletter and the annual yearbook. From ideation to publication, they are responsible for capturing the life of the school through writing, editing, design, and layout. This opportunity nurtures collaboration, attention to detail, and creative expression
Adira Ambassadors
Selected students take on leadership roles to represent and promote Adira. As Ambassadors, they support outreach efforts, lead peer workshops, and organize events and campaigns that strengthen community connections and celebrate student initiative.
Adira Quest
Adira Quest encourages students to actively seek out real-world learning experiences. Each student completes at least five cultural or intellectual engagements—ranging from museum visits and public lectures to theatre performances and festivals—and reflects on their impact. This initiative is designed to build agency, broaden horizons, and reconnect students with the world beyond the classroom.
Student Council
The Student Council is an elected leadership body that gives students a voice in shaping school life. Council members lead assemblies, drive student-led initiatives, and oversee the creation of the Adira Yearbook. Through this platform, they gain experience in governance, communication, and collaborative decision-making.
Student-Led Clubs
Adira encourages students to form their own clubs based on shared interests and passions. Whether rooted in academics, creativity, or social themes, these clubs are entirely student-run, offering space for initiative, leadership, and meaningful community-building.
External Academic Opportunities and Summer Programs
Students receive dedicated support to explore and apply for national and international academic opportunities, summer programs, and exchanges. These opportunities help them expand their perspectives, engage with diverse learning environments, and pursue their aspirations beyond the classroom.
Farming Club
The Farming Club offers students a unique opportunity to learn by doing. Over the course of the year, they grow plants or vegetables and document the entire process. It’s a space for developing patience, environmental stewardship, and an appreciation for the effort behind growth—both literal and personal.
Adira Voice
Adira Voice is a space for students to express their ideas in public forums such as assemblies, school events, and virtual gatherings. Grounded in research and critical thinking, these talks help students develop clarity, confidence, and persuasive communication. By articulating their views on meaningful topics, they learn to influence with integrity and speak with both conviction and logic.

Career Exposure Sessions

Each month, we invite professionals from various fields to engage with our students and share their career journeys. These speakers offer insights into their work and the paths that led them to where they are today. Students gain firsthand awareness of a wide range of professions and understand the diverse career opportunities available to them Career Exposure session

Distinguished Speaker Sessions features accomplished individuals from various fields who share their expertise and experiences. Our speakers, who are leaders in their respective areas, lead engaging talks and interactive workshops. These sessions serve as an opportunity for students to learn from the best, while being inspired to shape their own paths to success.
