Overview:

Engage with media, literature, and lived experiences to uncover bias, analyze narratives, and question dominant perspectives. Students build strong arguments, explore power structures, and develop critical literacy through reading, writing, and discussion.

Explore media, identity, and power through a critical literacy lens. Students analyze narratives, colonial structures, caste, and gender in India. The course ends with a capstone project—essay, multimedia, or ethnography—that applies critical inquiry to real-world issues.
